Installing Tenon

Tenon installs like any Theme Store theme. This page covers a first install, moving settings from a trial, and what to check before you publish.

1. Add the theme to your store

From the Tenon listing, choose Try theme. Shopify adds an unpublished copy to Online Store → Themes. Nothing on your live store changes until you publish.

2. Move settings from a trial

If you have been customising a trial copy, export its settings before replacing it:

shopify theme pull --theme=tenon-trial --only=config/settings_data.json
shopify theme push --theme=tenon-live --only=config/settings_data.json

Note — section content is stored per template, not in settings. Copy templates separately if you rebuilt any pages.

3. Before you publish

• Check the header logo at 1× and 2×.
• Set the product card aspect ratio to match your photography.
• Preview a collection with 200+ products to confirm pagination.
