Installing Paddock

1. Add theme

Install Paddock from Shopify Theme Store. Shopify adds an unpublished copy under Online Store → Themes. Live storefront remains unchanged until you publish Paddock.

2. Preview theme

From theme library, open Paddock and select Customize. Use page selector at top of theme editor to review homepage, product, collection, cart, blog, and page templates.

3. Add store resources

Before configuring sections, prepare:

  • Products with prices, inventory, variants, vendor, product type, descriptions, media, and useful alternative text.
  • Collections for categories, campaigns, and brands.
  • Main and footer navigation menus.
  • Store logo and favicon.
  • Pages for About, Contact, FAQ, Brands, shipping information, and other merchant policies.
  • At least one blog and published article when using Featured blog.
  • Markets, countries, currencies, and languages required by store.
  • Shipping, payment, tax, customer-account, and policy settings.

4. Configure theme

Open Theme settings for global design and commerce settings. Configure header, footer, homepage sections, product template, collection template, and special page templates.

5. Test before publishing

  • Place test order and confirm cart, discount, checkout, email, and inventory behavior.
  • Test every product option, sold-out state, selling plan, and pickup state used by catalog.
  • Check mobile and desktop navigation.
  • Test search, filters, sorting, pagination, account entry, contact form, and newsletter form.
  • Review storefront at 200% browser zoom and with keyboard only.
  • Confirm all links, policies, contact details, claims, images, and alternative text belong to your business.

Publish only after preview passes.
